Father’s Day at Kids Club has always been a special occasion, and this year was no exception. Across our centres, we celebrated the incredible fathers and father figures who play such a vital role in the lives of our children. The events were filled with joy, laughter and heartfelt moments that families will cherish for years to come.
As someone who had the pleasure of attending the Father’s Day event at Kids Club Macquarie Park, I was struck by the sense of warmth and community that permeated the centre. Families came together, even those who weren’t scheduled to attend that day, to celebrate this special occasion. Grandfathers joined their grandchildren, and fathers enjoyed a hearty Bunnings inspired breakfast, featuring a delicious range of sausages.
It was a delight to witness the tender moments between fathers and their children. The bond they shared was evident in every smile and laugh. I admired how Parmoon, our Centre Director, engaged with the families, creating an atmosphere of love and support that truly felt like a home away from home.
The dads were eager to share their favourite dad jokes, often seeking inspiration from the ones displayed around the room. Their faces beamed with pride as they spoke about their favourite parts of being a father or reminisced about cherished memories with their own dads. It was a beautiful reminder of the special role that fathers play in our lives.
Though I wasn’t able to attend all the events, I heard wonderful stories from our other centres, each echoing the same success.
Over at Kids Club Elizabeth St, the afternoon was filled with fun activities, including play dough creations, drawings with coloured pencils and sensory play. The event was a fantastic way for the children to bond with their dads and grandparents, who came out in full support of the celebration.
Kids Club Clarence St hosted a creative workshop where children made self-portraits of their dads, inspired by the story ‘If My Dad Were the Tooth Fairy.’ The children had a blast imagining their dads as everything from pizzas to unicorns, sharing their ideas in small groups and bringing their wildest imaginations to life.
At Kids Club Hamilton, the theme was a ‘roarsome’ jungle party, where the centre was transformed into a jungle wonderland. The children had the opportunity to decorate biscuits, take photos in a jungle-inspired booth, and even become their dad’s personal stylist, creating unique and imaginative hairstyles.
As someone who has been part of many such events, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our teams who worked tirelessly to make these celebrations a success. The dedication, creativity, and attention to detail that goes into planning these events are truly commendable. From the beautiful decorations to the thoughtful activities, every aspect was carefully considered to ensure that all families had a memorable experience.
A special mention also goes to our amazing chefs, who played a crucial role in the success of these events. Their hard work in preparing delicious food ensured that everyone was well fed and happy.
We are deeply grateful to all the dads, uncles, grandfathers and special people who joined us for these Father’s Day celebrations. Your involvement and enthusiasm helped create an atmosphere of joy and community that is at the heart of what we do at Kids Club.
