Raw Cacao Energy Balls

diy raw cacao energy balls recipe

Childcare centres all around Sydney have a common problem: picky eaters. Kids are notoriously picky eaters, and it can be tough to find snacks that they’ll like and that fit the healthy eating guidelines at daycare centres in Sydney. What’s worse is that they have a lot of energy to burn, so parents need to find an early childhood learning centre in Sydney that can cater to giving their kids healthy, delicious snacks to nibble on.

To help you out, here’s one of our favourite snacks for kids in our daycare centre. This snack is easy to make and tastes great! Unlike regular cocoa powder, these raw cacao balls are made from cold-pressing cocoa beans to remove the fat. It’s a good source of antioxidants, magnesium and iron.

Prep Time: 10 minutes.

Makes: 20 cacao balls.

What you will need:

  • 130g dates
  • 70f pecan nuts
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/2 tbsp agave syrup

Instructions:

  1. Put the pecan nuts into a food processor until you have fine crumbs
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and whiz until very finely chopped, and the mixture has come together
  3. Shape in 20 balls and roll in extra cacao powder
  4. Chill on a plate in the fridge

Snacks can be a great way to encourage your child to eat healthy foods and get the nutrients they need. But it can be hard to find the right snack food when you’re at home, let alone choose healthy options for your child at school or daycare in Sydney. This is why it’s important to find a child care centre in Sydney that cares for your kid’s mental well-being and physical fitness.
