Meet Miss Lucy!
Each and every day, Kids Club Elizabeth Street is getting closer and closer to being complete and ready to open doors to parents and children.
At Kids Club, a key pillar in helping provide the best start to your child’s future is hiring and developing experienced educators. Whilst we seek experienced carers who live and breath the early years learning framework, a key ingredient we look for is a passion in shaping a child’s learning and development. Consequently, leading by example and instilling a love for learning in Kids Club child.
Speaking of experienced and passionate carers, we’re excited to announce a key member to the to Elizabeth St centre team, Lucy Tasker!
We asked Lucy to give us a little background about herself and this is what we found out…
Who is Miss Lucy?
Lucy has over 10 years’ experience working in Early Years Education, during which time she has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours Degree in Early Childhood and Human Development and a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate (PGCE) specialising in the Early Years.
After completing further education, Lucy had the opportunity to teach in London, Dubai and Ecuador, gaining an international perspective, before moving down under to Australia.
“In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, by running and spending time at the gym, cooking (mostly eating) delicious food and spending time with friends and family!”
When we asked the big WHY we were so excited to hear Lucy’s response:
“I absolutely love teaching! It is a privilege to be able to support and influence young children’s learning and development. My passion is to help children grow and develop into confident and independent life-long learners.”
Lucy even gave us a quote from the infamous Friedrich Froebel – German Educator that created the first Kindergarten and nurtured the idea of a play based learning environment.
“Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul.” (Friedrich Froebel)
Over the time we have spent with Lucy, we are confident and excited to welcome her into our Kids Club Family and cannot wait to learn and grow off each other.
Welcome Lucy to the Kids Club Team!
“I look forward to contributing to the effective teaching and learning practices at Kids Club.” – Lucy Tasker
