What makes Kids Club the best childcare centre in Macquarie Park?

Is Kids Club Macquarie Park the best childcare centre in Sydney’s North West?

Staring at a blank canvas, you can either see emptiness or a world of possibilities. For Kids Club, opening a brand new NSW childcare centre has been an exciting opportunity to showcase our best work. Our centre at Macquarie Park has been a passion project full of love, effort and special care to create a space that will inspire both children and parents alike.

We are proud to present the best quality early education childcare and preschool this area can offer. Macquarie Park is already a place of innovation – a business, educational and residential hub full of opportunity. Now, children of this north-western Sydney region will be offered the best start to their future. We have used our wealth of knowledge and experience as a trusted early education brand to curate a dream centre, which we hope will help ease the anxieties of parents who are placing their most precious treasures in our care.

Kids Club already has a host of resources on what to look for when choosing the best child care for your child, including information on booking a tour and the settling-in process.

Right now, we are running an opening promotion where you get 8 weeks free!! You just need to enrol before 30/09/2019.

With that in mind, we have asked Kids Club Macquarie Park director Louise to help us paint a picture of what gives this childcare centre its ‘wow factor’:

1. Educators

Daycare OrientationA childcare centre needs to be a home away from home. The most vital ingredient inside a daycare is the love of educators.

“Many little ones spend so much of their day here. They need to feel comfortable and secure by building connections with staff,” Louise says. “We are dedicated to the role and our educators absolutely love working with the children.”

Relationships are built with each child and their family. Through the warmth and expertise of educators, children can develop healthy attachments that allow them the freedom to learn joyfully.

Quite simply, children don’t learn from people they don’t like. We strive to be a champion for every child that walks through our doors.

2. Environment

“What children learn does not follow as an automatic result from what is taught, rather, it is in part due to the children’s own doing, as a consequence of their activities and our resources” ~ Loris Malaguzzi, founder of renowned Reggio Emilia preschools

The childcare centre with the giraffes! When you first walk into our Macquarie Park childcare, the adventure begins! Watch your child’s eyes widen as they encounter a giraffe family, a life-sized helicopter with controls, a bright red fire engine with tyres and steering wheel, and an interactive outdoor space which includes a wet creek bed and age-appropriate climbing structures.

“It’s amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it,” says centre director Louise, who has been working in the childcare sector for 25 years. “Children will be able to dream they are a pilot landing in the jungle. They will interact with the natural elements which have all been designed expertly by the Kids Club team.”

All over, the colours, decor and layout of the centre have been designed to create a warm, welcoming and inspiring environment. The walls have been painted with jungle scenery and the detail is extraordinary. The resources are all open-ended, allowing for multiple uses of the equipment with the children’s imagination.

The state-of-the-art facilities include a functional mini-kitchen which has been made just for the children. Adjacent to our professional kitchen, they will be able to cook, bake and serve their mates directly in the dining room. There are little sinks, wash basins and stainless-steel benches which are the perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers.

“It’s very unique,” Louise says. “It’s such a big learning tool for them, teaching them pre-literacy and pre-numeracy all while having fun cooking. They will also learn good hygiene practices in a perfect early childhood learning environment.”

3. Convenience

Getting out the door with young children isn’t always easy, so it’s vital to find a centre in a great location that will make your day as smooth as possible.

While Kids Club is an incredible option for residents, it also gives workers a practical option to reduce the rush at drop-off and pick-up. Macquarie Park has attracted some of the countries biggest employers, including Optus, Fujitsu, CSC, Macquarie Group, Macquarie University, Microsoft, Ericsson Australia, Australian Radio Network and more. With on-site parking zones for drop-off and pick-ups and close proximity to the train station, the new centre’s location offers families convenience and flexibility.

4. Education

Our unique Education for Life program is about providing children with a holistic experience that imbues them with a lifelong love for learning. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies, we combine the best of both worlds to help children prepare for school and the years beyond.

The program covers 7 key learning areas:

  • Exploration
  • Community & Culture
  • Self-identity
  • Mind & Body
  • Scholastics
  • Creative
  • Thinking Skills

Head to our program page to learn more. The curriculum is underpinned by the national Early Years Learning Framework and Kids Club uses a play-based approach to learning, which sets up children for success.

5. Communication

Kids Club has an open-door policy which allows families to really build up trust with educators and check-in on their children whenever they wish. This also means breastfeeding mums can drop by to nurse their babies throughout the work day.

A thorough orientation process, where children spend time with staff before entering care, allows for a smoother transition. “We get to know their likes, dislikes, how they like to go to sleep and we encourage parents to be involved,” Louise says.

Parents will be updated on a child’s activities and progress, with information on meals, nap times, nappy changes and more. “This is the best and most detailed app I’ve seen across all the child care centres I’ve worked at,” says Louise.

6. Extracurricular Activities

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities – at no extra cost – which complement our educational program and provide parents with true value for money.

Parents also have a say in the four activities on offer and can direct their preferences within these categories:

  • Multisport classes, such as Zumba and soccer
  • Music lessons
  • Language classes
  • Yoga and Mindfulness

Have a look at this page for more details on the benefits of each activity.

7. Nutrition

Healthy Nutrition at Kids ClubOur gourmet chef creates healthy and delicious meals based off a menu designed with global children’s food expert Annabel Karmel. Our exclusive partnership puts the ‘mmm’ into yummy meals and your little munchkins will explore foods you never imagined them liking before. We understand the importance of nutrition in those early years, especially as we all want children to develop healthy habits and tastes that last a lifetime. This article explains how nutrition affects the mind, body and spirit.

In addition to meals, our centres provide everything else a child needs, with no extra fees for things like formula, bed sheets or nappies.
