We are certainly living in trying times.
The outbreak of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as Coronavirus) has led to unprecedented levels of confusion and anxiety among many communities here in Australia.
Rest assured Kids Club centres are open and operating with increased health, safety and hygiene standards. Please see below for more information and bookmark this page as we will be updating this on regular basis.
Be kind to each other.
We urge everyone to remain calm during this time and continue to show love, patience and kindness to each other. Share your resources, help the vulnerable and give where you can to help members in your community who may be struggling. Shut down fear, listen to the authorities and become a global citizen. Do not give in to the ignorance of the frenzied few that we have witnessed recently.
In saying that, we understand that this is a serious issue and we as a business are taking every step that we can to ensure the protection and safety of all Children, Parents, Guardians and Staff among our centres.
Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us.
Kids Club has been following all protocols since the announcement of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
We are very much aware of the current situation and are keeping a close eye in all of our centres to remain vigilant. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation develops, Kids Club has and will continue to follow the advice of the Department of Health, Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Education and all relevant state health ministries. Across all our centres we have been adhering to their recommendations with strict adherence.

New changes have been announced to CCS. We have put together some handy information about this and how this will affect our parents here. Update: April 9th 2020
Due to the recent impacts regarding CCS changes supported by the government, we may not be able to offer the full extension of our all inclusive services as listed on portions of our website, which are provided during usual times of operation. We have sent communication regarding these changes to all family members as of today. If you are a Kids Club family member and did not receive this communication, please make sure you email our enquiries team (email@example.com) for an update, and they will gladly forward you across a copy of all these changes.

We are continuing to follow the advice of authorities.
Working in conjunction with the Department of Health, Department of Home Affair and all relevant state bodies, Kids Club is doing everything to continue to ensure the protection and safety of all children, parents and staff across our entire organisations.
NSW Health has updated its advice in relation to COVID-19.
Effective as of the 16th of March, anyone who arrives in Australia from overseas, is required to self-isolate for 14 days. Anyone found violating this directive may be subject to heavy fines.
This does not affect previous travel advice regarding travellers from mainland China, South Korea, Iran and Italy.
Further advice surrounding travel restrictions can be found on the Department of Home Affairs website. You may also visit the Department of Health regarding additional updates. We strongly advise our parents to stay up to date with these sites as the advice of Government Departments will change in line with the evolving situation.
What is Kids Club doing to protect you and your child?
We want to ensure our parents that we are keeping our centres the cleanest environments possible by implementing additional measures for their children’s safety. These include:
Establishing teams within our organisation to monitor the ongoing situation.
All parents are required to thoroughly wash their hands on entry to the centre.
All parents whose children have been absent have been queried about their current travel routes and potential exposure to the virus.
Staff are being continually trained and updated on the best practices for handling the situation.
All centres are professionally deep cleaned on a daily basis after closing of business by cleaning professionals.
All centres follow extensive cleaning and sanitising procedures multiple times throughout the day.
We have had ZERO suspected or confirmed cases across our network.
All excursions remain cancelled until further notice.
We have adequate stock options available to our services to continue to provide quality care and education to your children.
Any persons exhibiting any cold or flu-like symptoms, as per advice from the Department of Health, will be excluded entry to our centres.
Further to this, effective Monday 16th of March;
No new visitors to any centres will be allowed access into the rooms of any children across our network, inclusive of parent tours.
Any contractors or visitors required to enter the site for any reason must pass a questionnaire regarding their movements to determine suitability prior to entry.
We will follow up any child absences to determine the reason for the absence.
For any child absences due to a medical-related issue or unexplained absences, Kids Club will require a registered doctor’s medical clearance for your child to return to the centre.
Anyone recently returning from overseas will be requested to wait a mandatory 14-day self-isolation/quarantine period and not be allowed to return to our centres until this period is completed.
Update: March 12th 2020
There are a number of countries on travel restrictions.
As a business, Kids Club is aware of families who have been on leave and have been working with them to determine their travel routes before allowing any one to return to our centres. Additionally, we have been issuing centre statements and speaking with all family members about any potential contact with the virus. If we deem that any person has been potentially exposed to the virus, we are asking them to wait the mandatory period as issued by the Department of Health before returning to our centres. That goes for all children, parents, guardians, staff and any contractors.
Please be aware which countries are currently restricted from entering Australia, and if you have recently visited on of these places, we ask you to refrain the minimum mandatory wait time of 14 days, and if you exhibit any symptoms, have yourself checked immediately.
Those countries as specified by the Department of Home Affairs are listed as:
- Mainland China
- Republic of Korea

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and continue to work with the Department of Health in every capacity to ensure that we limit any potential contact. Should guidelines and recommendations change from the authorities, we will implement these immediately and issue statements to families accordingly.
Know the signs.
We politely ask that if you have come in contact with, travelled to a restricted area or suspect that you have come in contact with someone who may have contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19), then we strongly encourage you to speak with your medical professional about getting tested. If testing is required, while you are awaiting results, please be considerate and stay away from our centres.
