Easy Oobleck Recipe

Is it a liquid or a solid? Oobleck has such an interesting unusual consistency that children love to experiment with. It is easy and inexpensive to make as well as being nontoxic and child-friendly.

You will need

• Food colouring
• Cornstarch
• Water
• Bowl
• Measuring cup
• Wooden spoon

Let’s begin

1. Put 2 cups of cornstarch into a bowl.
2. Measure 1 cup of water and add a few drops of preferred food colouring to the water. Mix well.
3. Add the coloured water to the bowl with cornstarch. Mix well using a spoon or your hands.
4. The perfect consistency should be a solid when picked up, but then should slowly turn to a liquid consistency.
