Start Strong with Kids Club

If you're a parent in New South Wales with a child aged three to five years old, you may be eligible for free Preschool funding through the State Government's Start Strong Free Preschool Funding program.

The Start Strong program, initiated by the NSW Government, is designed to make quality early education more accessible for families with preschool aged children. For 2025, the program provides financial relief for children aged three to five years, available across all Haven Early Learning centres, supporting their educational journey in long day care and preschool settings.

What is the Start Strong Program?

Start Strong offers funding to help cover Preschool fees, giving children a strong foundation for their school years and beyond. Families may save to up $2,174 annually for eligible four year olds and $515 annually for eligible three year olds. The fee relief is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), although CCS is not required to benefit from this program.

Who is Eligible?

The program supports families with:

Four year olds: Children who turn four on or before 31 July 2025
Three year olds: Children who turn three on or before 31 July 2025

How Does it Work?

Start Strong funding reduces weekly gap fees over a 52 week period:

Up to $41.80 per week for eligible four year olds.
Up to $9.90 per week for eligible three year olds.

To access this funding, families must complete a NSW Government 2025 Fee Relief Declaration Form and nominate one service to receive the fee relief. Once submitted, the fee reductions will reflect in your fortnightly statements.
