Quality Child Care in Taigum

Located on Handford road next door to Aldi and Coles, Kids Club Taigum brings a new concept to childcare and early learning offering a holistic approach to preschool years. Give your child the best start to their future with our highly praised “Education for Life” program which encourages a life-long love and appreciation for learning.

Our educators see themselves as co-learners with the children and offer a caring early learning away from home. Our routines allow time for uninterrupted play for our little ones to fully investigate their ideas.

Our wonderful play-spaces are built in our own workshop using natural wood to provide sensory and exploratory experiences and induce creativity. Our learning environments provide babies and toddlers with resources that offer challenge, intrigue and surprise to support their investigations and enjoyment.

Meet Your Centre Director, Miss Alison

Hello and welcome to our beautiful centre.  I’m Alison and I am passionate about children’s education and care. I have been in the childcare industry for 30 years because I believe that children are the world’s greatest resource and should be treated as such. I believe that children have an inbuilt desire to learn and grow and that as parents and educators it is our privilege and duty to nurture and develop this.

I believe it is vital that we have great expectations of children, believing that each child can achieve anything that they set their mind to. My role is to instil in each child a sense of their own identity and a belief that they have the power within to reach for the stars.

I believe that all people are created equal, no person has the right to make another person feel that they do not measure up for any reason.  My role is to ensure that all children understand that cultural, gender and physical differences are what makes us unique and interesting, promoting curiosity and acceptance.

I believe that the parent is the acknowledged expert on their children and that my role is to be a supportive partner to families, working with them to bring out the very best in their children. I believe that children’s developmental progress should be tracked to ensure that we provide the best possible learning opportunities for each individual child.

I believe that it is each child’s right to love, laughter and fun, as an educator I believe that instilling resilience, determination and a sense of fun in each child, provides them with valuable tools for the future.

Taigum Centre Activities

At Kids Club we have certain room routines that educators follow. The routine will vary, depending on current events and activities. Having a routine in each of the rooms allows for smoother transitions into new activities, meals and rest time. The routine is available to families so you are aware of what your child is doing at certain times.

Kids Club Taigum

From 7:30am

The day starts with family grouping sessions where breakfast is served. Here is when you can say goodbye to your little one. After breakfast, your child has time to play and learn at their own pace.

Kids Club Taigum

From 8:30am

At this time of the morning, other children are still arriving, so the educators offer children different activities to engage in. The activities are purposefully selected to encourage our learning through play framework.

Featured Parent Testimonials

"Amazing. Like a second family. Facilities, teachers, programs, daily communications, food, events - all the best I’ve seen at a day care centre with a truly wonderful woman - Shelli, at the helm."

"The chef makes amazing meals on site for the children that I’m tempted to dump my lunch, so I can eat with them! What I also love is their breastfeeding friendly premises. Because I work close enough, I am able to go in each day to give my daughter a breastfeed. "

Preparing for the First Week

The transition for children into child care is an important milestone for children and families. This transition can be challenging and emotional for both the parent and the child. Therefore, we offer you this information to help the transition process.

We invite families to come for orientation the week before they start: stay in the centre with your child, meet the educators and make yourself familiar with the routines prior to your child’s first day. This assists you and your children to feel more at ease and comfortable with the new environment.
